under the rules governing overtaking and passing. (2) When the right half of a roadway is closed to traffic under construction or repair. (3) Upon a roadway divided into three (3) marked lanes for traffic under the rules applicable to a roadway divided into three (3) marked lanes. (4) Upon a roadway designated and sign posted for one-way traffic. (b) Upon all roadways, a vehicle proceeding at less than the normal speed of traffic at the time and place under the conditions then existing shall be driven: (1) In the right-hand lane then available for traffic; or (2) As close as practicable to the right hand curb or edge of the roadway; except when overtaking and passing another vehi cle proceeding in the same direction or when preparing for a left turn at an intersection or into a private road or driveway. (c) Upon all roadways, a motor driven cycle shall be driven as close as practicable to the right hand curb or edge of the roadway except when overtaking or passing another vehicle proceeding in the same direction or when preparing for a left turn at an intersection or into a private road or driveway. 9-21-8-3. Restricting trucks to certain lanes; directional signals. (a) The Indiana department of transportation may adopt rules to restrict the operating of a truck to a certain lane or lanes of a state maintained high way and to a certain lane or lanes of a street of a city or town that is a part of the state highway sys tem and is maintained by the state. (b) The Indiana department of transportation may post a state highway or a city or town street that is a part of the state highway system with appropriate directional signs and signals. 9-21-8-4. Vehicles coming in opposite directions to pass on right. The persons who drive vehicles proceeding in opposite directions shall pass each other to the right. Upon roadways having width for not more

than one (1) lane of traffic in each direction, each person who drives a vehicle subject to this section shall give to the other person who drives a vehi cle at least one-half (1/2) of the main traveled part of the roadway as nearly as possible. 9-21-8-5. Failing to allow passing; improper passing on left. The following rules govern the overtaking and passing of vehicles proceeding in the same direction, subject to the limitations, exceptions, and special rules stated: (1) A person who drives a vehicle over taking another vehicle proceeding in the same direction shall pass to the left of the other vehicle at a safe distance and may not again drive to the right side of the roadway until safely clear of the overtaken vehicle. (2) Except when overtaking and passing on the right is permitted, a person who drives an overtaken vehicle shall give way to the right in favor of the overtaking vehicle on audible signal and may not increase the speed of the overtaken vehicle until com pletely passed by the overtaking vehicle. (3) The operator of a vehicle overtaking a bicycle or electric bicycle shall: (B) not return the vehicle to the vehi cle's original lane of travel until the vehicle is safely clear of the bicycle. (4) The operator of a vehicle may pass a bicycle or electric bicycle traveling in the same direction in a no passing zone when it is safe to do so, if the operator of the overtaking motor vehicle complies with subdivisions (1) and (3). 9-21-8-6. Improper passing on right. (a) A person who drives a vehicle may over take and pass upon the right of another vehicle only under the following conditions: (1) When the vehicle overtaken is making or about to make a left turn. (2) Upon a roadway with unobstructed pavement of sufficient width for two (2) or more lanes of vehicles moving lawfully in (A) allow at least three (3) feet of clear ance between the vehicle and the bicy cle; and
