(a) At the time of sentencing for a person con victed of domestic battery under IC 35-42-2-1.3 or a crime that involved domestic abuse, neglect,

or violence, the court may require the person to complete a batterer’s intervention program approved by the court. (b) The person convicted of domestic battery or another crime described in subsection (a) shall pay all expenses of the batterer’s intervention program.
